This page is a collection of research papers written respectively as college coursework during my time as a student. Working in this capacity taught me to hone my writing and editing abilities as well as my analytical skills when developing research-heavy coursework.

During my time as a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I spent much of my academic career writing research papers for a multitude of different courses. This is a collection featuring some of my most prized coursework.

History, Today

October 2021

This research paper discusses the parallels and divergences between two prominent ages of information. Two inventions, one from the past and one from the present, the printing press and the Internet, respectively, will be examined to determine the utility and impact of technological advancement on a society’s social, economic, and political status.

Images in Focus: A Study of Logograms vs. Emojis

December 2021

This research paper examines the similarities, differences, and purposes between the technologies of Emojis and Logograms to determine just how far language has evolved or strayed.

Analysis: Nuovo Cinema Paradiso

December 2021

This essay examines the similarities, differences, and innate meanings concerning Giuseppe Tornatore's 1988 Italian drama film Nuovo Cinema Paradiso and the Nuovo Cinema Paradiso Director's Cut released in 2002. 

The True Enemy of Superheroines: The Male Gaze

April 2022

This essay examines the differences between several films of the superhero genre to explore how men and women tell different stories and treat their characters, through the study of the general narrative, costumes, scene construction, and camera work.
